Monitoring the status of critical assets in real-time and
online against an important and critical systems such as
electrical and centralized air conditioning system, has become a
principle for the purposes of ensuring operation of an
organization to function and not disturbed or disabling the
operation.
In efforts to improve the effectiveness and efficiency of
asset management services / facilities, the Electrical
Engineering Branch of
PWD has taken the
initiative to produce JSCADA system that uses ICT as an enabler
to simplify and improve the efficiency of monitoring, control
and maintenance of Solar Hybrid System.
jSCADA is one of the projects initiated under the Asset
Management System / Facility and is in line with corporate
strategic objectives to be achieved PWD through the use of ICT.
Broadband Internet access facilities can be provided at any
time, whether fixed line or satellite VSAT (Very Small Aperture
Terminal) has facilitated the implementation of the system
jSCADA.
jSCADA system is intelligent
communication between devices with system application support
and gathering information directly from equipment problems over
the internet.
Solar Hybrid Project implemented by the Ministry of Education
Malaysia and the PWD as a project manager is the electric power
generation projects using renewable energy sources from solar
which include 146 school sites in the interior of Sabah.
All sites are equipped with various components to move the
solar hybrid system. Major component is the structure of the
solar panel, battery and Genset room and use the inverter.
